This underground city, built by the Hittites, was also used during the Christian era. While navigating Derinkuyu, you will discover narrow passages, daily living quarters, churches and warehouses. Afterwards, you will move towards Ihlara Valley and its canyon. Ihlara Valley is the largest canyon in Cappadocia and is 14 km long, 100 meters deep and 200 meters wide. While hiking in Ihlara Valley, you will walk along the river and see ancient churches, caves and monasteries. The walking tour in the valley is approximately 4 km long and will continue after a one-hour break where your guide will guide you. After visiting the Agzikarahan Caravanserai for lunch, you will set off for the Selime Monastery. Selime Monastery is a historical Christian monastery and has a unique architecture. Here you will discover the monastery's church, sitting areas and other structures. The last stop of the Green Tour is the Pigeon Valley, home to the famous pigeon houses of Cappadocia. Here you can take a panoramic break and enjoy the view surrounded by pigeon houses. Then, at the end of the tour, we will bring you back to your hotel.
